ROOTED IN RURAL ALBERTA

Lisa was born and raised in rural southern Alberta, and although she has lived in several communities across the province, rural life has always remained an important part of who she is. Growing up in a small community shaped her understanding of both the strengths and challenges that come with rural living — including how reaching out for support can feel especially vulnerable when resources are limited and privacy feels harder to maintain in close-knit communities. This connection has shaped her commitment to providing thoughtful and accessible mental health support.

For more than nine years, Lisa has worked in mental health and addiction, supporting individuals, couples, and families through complex and overwhelming seasons of life across Alberta. Through this work, she has developed a strong interest in maternal mental health and supporting couples navigating stress, life transitions, and relationship changes — areas where people often find themselves feeling overwhelmed or disconnected, even when they care deeply about their families and relationships.

Her work focuses on creating a space where clients feel respected, understood, and able to speak openly. Lisa welcomes individuals and couples navigating difficult seasons, with the belief that change, however hard, can be the very ground where new roots take hold.
